In the heart of Antigua, where cobblestones remember, there's a doorway most people walk past without realizing what's on the other side.
Step through, and the city falls away.
Underfoot, ancient stone. Overhead, an open Antigueño sky framed by cascading bougainvillea and climbing vines, somewhere between a Tuscan garden and an Andalusian courtyard. A small square fountain murmurs at the center with flowers floating on the surface. Light spills across the rock walls. Coffee hisses in the background. Somewhere, a cinnamon roll is being pulled from the oven.
This is Zenique. Zen, for the way this courtyard makes time soften. Unique, for everything we do inside it.

We made up a phrase for what we do, because nothing else quite fit.
Healthy Gluttony.
It's the radical idea that food can be genuinely good for you and shamelessly delicious. That a bowl built from clean, local ingredients can also be the most beautiful thing on the table. That you should never have to choose between virtue and pleasure, between eating well and eating well.
So we don't ask you to.
We use healthy oils. Ghee in place of less thoughtful fats. Ingredients sourced as close to home as we can get them. We take allergies and dietary needs as seriously as we take flavor. And then we plate every dish like it's the prettiest thing we'll send out that day because, most of the time, it is.
This is what happens when wellness stops apologizing and starts indulging the way it always should have.
More Than a Café
Zenique is a café, and a bakery, a specialty coffee house, and a small boutique of carefully chosen things.
At the entrance, our bakery greets you first: fresh sourdoughs, hand-shaped bagels, cinnamon rolls pulled warm from the oven, gluten-free cookies for everyone who deserves a treat, and a few flowers, just because.
In the courtyard, our coffee program honors where we stand. We're in one of the most celebrated coffee regions on earth, so we pour with the seriousness it deserves, using beans from a special farm inside Antigua, prepared with every method worth pouring.
And to the left of the entrance, a quiet room opens into our wine and specialty goods shop, a love letter to Guatemala's makers. Hand-painted postcards by local artists. Organic skin care. Books worth reading slowly. Kitchen pieces crafted from ecologically sourced wood. A carefully curated wine selection. Each item is here because we believe in the hands that made it.
